[edit] Definition

Dualism is a philosophical position that merges the concepts of materialism and immaterialism. Under this position, both physical and non-physical phenomena have existence unto themselves, not to the exclusion of the other but with an interdependance between the two. Dualists often see the material having an effect on the immaterial and vice versa.
