SkepticWiki:Manual of Style
From SkepticWiki
This Manual of Style exists to help in making all the articles in the JREFWiki follow a broadly consistent style. It is however only a guideline and as such may be deviated from if there is a good reason.
Contents |
[edit] Article headings
The first sentence should include the title of the article which should be bolded
[edit] Inter article links
If you think something motioned in your article should have an article of its own then create a link to it on its first mention in your article. Future mentions should not be linked
[edit] Article sections
As articles get longer it may be desirable to break them into sections. As a general rule sections should be no longer than one or two screen lengths.
[edit] External links
External links should be placed at the bottom of an article with a short (one line) description of what the link contains.
[edit] Language
Articles may be written in either American of British English as long as they are internally consistent. As a general rule it is best to stick with whichever version the original author used.
[edit] AD/CE/VE
Any of these may be used (well perhaps not VE) as long as the articles they are used in remain internally consistent. As a general rule it is best to stick with whichever version the original author used.
