Regarding: "However in some internet communities skepticism would mean properly following the ideas behind this school of thought while scepticism would mean something more akin to cynicism." Is this true? I am only aware of a single "internet community" in which this is true, and in that case, only a single member who uses it that way.

Skepticism and scepticism are just variant spellings of the same thing. There is no philosophical difference that I know of. --Diamond August 16, 2005 13:09 (GMT)
